Market4Demand Announces Dr. Stephen McElfresh as New Advisory Board Member

Dr. Stephen McElfresh, Executive HR and Organizational Design Consultant, Joins Market4Demand Advisory Board

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Business Wire) - April 2, 2009 - Market4Demand, Inc., a Silicon Valley technology marketing consulting firm, announced today that the company has named a new member to serve on its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board, launched in November of 2008, consists of respected and successful Silicon Valley professionals committed to helping Market4Demand meet its goals for continued expansion and further contribution to the resources available to start-up entrepreneurs. Dr. McElfresh will join two existing distinguished Advisory Board members, Chris Gill, president and chief executive officer for Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs (SVASE) and Brian Reaves, vice president of service delivery for Coghead.

"I am passionate about helping entrepreneurs navigate the opportunities and pitfalls of organizational growth - and particularly in addressing the "people engineering" barriers on which most growing companies stumble. My experiences founding my own company, as CEO of Saratoga Institute, and as chief HR officer for SRI International, Exponent, and Friden Alcatel provide a rich dataset for this purpose - including my own stumbles! "said Dr. McElfresh. "I'm honored to assist the Market4Demand executives in their own management and scaling, as well as to provide insight about the unique HR and organizational design issues faced by startup and midrange technology enterprises."

Dr. Steve McElfresh is the principal and founder of HR Futures®. He has taught at Boston College and the University of Massachusetts, and has also served on the Boards of Directors and Advisory Boards of a variety of Bay Area companies and nonprofits. Dr. McElfresh, who has published articles on HR and productivity research, conducts seminars both locally and internationally on new directions for the American workforce, R&D and white-collar productivity, and the challenges of managing in highly technical organizations. He holds a Ph.D. in organizational psychology from Boston College and a J.D. from the Santa Clara University.

The Market4Demand Advisory Board members all bring experience and unique insights to business for both Market4Demand and its entrepreneurial clientele. Together, the Advisory Board members will help Market4Demand grow and expand its service offerings designed for entrepreneurs.

"We believe that the experience and enthusiasm shown by Dr. McElfresh will be invaluable as we build a scalable organization that continues to attract successful entrepreneurial customers -- and that helps those CEOS attract and motivate exceptional workers with a passion for technology and innovation," said Sarah Autrand, founder and chief executive officer of Market4Demand, Inc. "Dr. McElfresh will be a tremendous resource to Market4Demand and our executive customers as they navigate the people challenges associated with growth and becoming a successful business."
